Starting position
Hold one rope end in each hand, stand in an athletic half squat far enough from the anchor to remove slack.
Brace your core and keep your chest up.
Raise one arm while lowering the other in a quick, alternating rhythm.
Keep the elbows slightly bent and generate waves that travel to the anchor.
Maintain the half-squat stance and continue for the set time.
Breathing: Breathe rhythmically; don't hold your breath under fatigue.
Coaching tips
Fast, fluid arms
Stay low
Waves reach the anchor
Common mistakes
Standing upright with locked knees
Tiny arm movements that make weak waves
Rounding the back
Safety notes
Keep a braced, neutral spine rather than bending over the rope.
